The goods

Wovenhall sells woven, tufted, hand-knotted and machine-made floor coverings including area rugs, carpets, hallway runners, entrance mats and associated accessories such as rug pads and underlays, manufactured from natural fibers (wool, cotton, jute, sisal) and synthetic fibers (polypropylene, nylon, polyester) or blends thereof. Each product page describes what is included, the dimensions and the weave. Photographs are illustrative; actual packaging may vary slightly.

Ordering and contract

An order is placed once checkout is completed. We confirm by email, though the contract is only formed when the goods are dispatched. We may decline an order if stock has run out or details cannot be verified, refunding any payment already made.

Prices and payment

Prices are shown in CAD and include VAT where it applies. Delivery costs appear at checkout, before payment. Accepted methods: Cash on delivery, Bank transfer. Should an obvious pricing error occur, we may correct it before dispatch and ask you to confirm or cancel.

Product images and colours

Product photographs show the actual rugs we dispatch. Screen colours vary with calibration, browser and ambient light, so a slight difference in shade is not a defect and does not justify a free return or compensation. Dimensions, materials and fibre content are listed on each product page.

Transfer of risk

The rug remains our responsibility until the courier delivers it to you, or to whoever you named at the given address. From that point, the risk of loss or damage transfers to you. Any visible transport damage should be noted with the courier and reported to us within 48 hours.

Returns and warranty

Rugs may be returned within 30 days of delivery, as set out on the Returns page. Wovenhall warrants that every rug is free from manufacturing defects in weave construction, dye application, backing adhesion and stitching for a period of twelve months from the date of delivery, consistent with the implied warranties of merchantable quality and fitness for purpose recognized under Canadian consumer protection statutes. This warranty does not cover ordinary wear, fading from sunlight exposure, or damage arising from improper cleaning methods not recommended in the product care instructions.

• Custom-cut or bespoke rugs manufactured to customer-specified dimensions, shapes or pattern adjustments
• Clearance, remnant or overstock floor coverings explicitly marked as final sale at checkout
• Rug pads, grips or underlays that have been removed from their original sealed hygiene packaging
• Rugs that have been laid on flooring, walked on, or exposed to pets, moisture or odors, causing fiber crushing, soiling or contamination after delivery
• Rugs with removed or damaged manufacturer hang-tags or protective wrapping used to certify hygiene and pest-free condition prior to sale

Liability

To the extent permitted by applicable Canadian law, Wovenhall Home Goods Inc.'s aggregate liability for any claim arising from the purchase of a rug or carpet is limited to the lesser of $100 CAD or the total amount paid for the item giving rise to the claim. Nothing here restricts liability that the law does not allow us to limit.

Age and use

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order. Use products as directed on their labelling; nothing here should be taken as medical guidance.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, including the Consumer Protection Act, the Competition Act, and the Textile Labelling Act, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario, Canada. Where a disagreement cannot be resolved directly with us, it falls to the competent court of our registered address, without prejudice to any consumer rights you hold in your country of residence.
